 Get involved!

CAAPN’s strongest asset is its membership’s willingness to share skills, knowledge, and practice expertise. We encourage you to visit the CAAPN website to learn about continuing education events, APN-related practice and/or professional issues and to access our newsletter archive. You can also join CAAPN through your local provincial interest group. You can become an active participant of CAAPN in a number of ways:

Attend the Biennial Conference

Join CAAPN for its exceptional Biennial Conference held in St. John’s NF from Sept 30 to October 1, 2009. This is a wonderful opportunity to network with APNs from across Canada and the U.S.

Volunteer for a committee

Take your first steps in an active leadership role by volunteering for a number of APN-related committees. If you would like to become more active, fill out this form and email to the Communications Director.  A CAAPN Executive Board member will contact you once an opportunity becomes available.

Write an article for the quarterly CAAPN News

The CAAPN News is quarterly newsletter with latest news in advance practice nursing, CAAPN updates and articles of interest. Contribute to the newsletter by sending news items, web links, and articles. You do not have to be a professional writer . Share your experiences and what you know with other APNs!

Run for a seat on the CAAPN Executive Board

Nominations for CAAPN Executive Positions (President-elect, Secretary, Treasurer and Communications Director) will continue to be accepted via on-line form and during the CAAPN Biennial General Meeting held concurrent with the CAAPN Biennial Conference. More information about the nomination process, roles and role description can be found on the CAAPN website. Of course, please feel free to contact any member of the present CAAPN Executive Board for further specific details regarding role expectations and commitments.
